Gel Plate Printing
Our Annual General Meeting will be on Tuesday, 8th September 2026 at 7:30 pm at the Deerubbin Centre, Windsor. The meeting will be followed by an interactive session on Gel Plate Printing run by Deidre Morrison.
Attendees will have the opportunity to have fun trying out Gel Plate Printing.
Gel Plate Printing, also called Gelli Plate Printing, is an effortless, creative way to craft one-of-a-kind monoprints using a soft, reusable gel plate. Simply roll acrylic paint across the surface, layer with textures using bubble wrap, string, leaves, stencils etc then press your paper down, and peel it back to reveal a totally unique artwork.
Come and enjoy this fascinating medium! Deidre will guide you through the versatile world of gel plate printing and printmaking techniques. You will learn how to build up rich, textured layers using acrylic paints, stencils, and everyday tools to create unique background papers and unique artworks.
Both members and non members are welcome to our meetings to view an inspirational artist at work each month, as well as the opportunity to expand your network with local art enthusiast.
This meeting is free to attend. Tea, coffee & supper will be supplied.
Please remember to park outside the car park as it closes early.
Come along to our AGM to help form a quorum and vote even if you are not nominating for a role. It is also always very good to hear our Annual Reports and this really helps to support your Society.
If you feel you could assist with Committee in any capacity big or small we very much welcome more helping hands. It is a great experience helping a local community group that has been in operation for over 65 years in the Hawkesbury.
We all want MTAS to continue into the future so please consider joining the committee.
