Monthly Demonstration Meeting
with Patrick Shirvington – Nature Drawings
7.30pm, 11th February 2025
We are looking forward to welcoming Patrick Shirvington for our first monthly meeting of 2025 on February 11th, 7:30pm at the Stan Stevens Room, Deerubbin Center Windsor.
In his demonstration, Patrick will share his expertise and techniques for creating captivating and intricate nature drawings.
Both members and non-members are welcome to join our meetings to view an inspirational artist at work each month, as well as the opportunity to enjoy networking with like-minded art enthusiasts.
Cost is $5 at the door. Supper is provided and please remember to park outside due to early car park closure.
About Patrick Shirvington:
Patrick Shirvington is an artist and illustrator born in Sydney, who began painting at the age of 14. Influenced by cartoonist Brodie Mack and artist Lloyd Rees, Patrick travelled to Paris in the early 1970s, where he attended drawing classes and exhibited his work in London.
Since then, he has dedicated himself to being a full-time artist, using drawing as a tool for exploration and inspiration in his creative process. He has illustrated six books and contributed to several art publications.
Throughout his career, Patrick has been invited to present at drawing conferences in Australia, London, and New York. His work is held in permanent collections including Macquarie University, the NSW State Library, the Kedumba Drawing Collection, the Edogawa Museum in Osaka, Japan, the Arthur Boyd Bundanon Collection, New Frontier Publishing in London, and the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery.
