About Hiren Patel:

Hiren is highly influenced by Australian impressionists and modern painters, His recent urban vistas are intensely personal renditions of the places he wandered in Australia and India.

Using his sketches, photographs, and memory, he transforms everyday mundane subjects into visual poetries by richly layering colours and instinctive paint application. Good design, composition, and dramatic light are the most important aspects of his work.

Reminding all that we have Kristine Ballard for our first monthly meeting of 2023 on February 14th. Being Valentine’s Day, Kristine will have a theme of “Colour Love, A passion for colour!”.

Kristine will discuss the evolution of colour throughout history and how to intensify your own colour palettes. Also demonstrating the use of her unique style she calls ‘Fragmatism’.

The meeting is on Tuesday, 14th Feb, 7:30pm at the Stan Stevens Room, Deerubbin Center Windsor. Come along to see Kristine’s beautiful work in action.

Please register your attendance by email to  info [@] mtas.com.au .

Cost is $5 at the door. Supper is provided and please remember to park outside due to early car park closure.

About Kristine Ballard:

Kristine Ballard’s work is driven by colour. Selective colour palettes and disintegrated shapes define the unique style she calls ‘Fragmatism’ where images float, dissolve and fragment across the canvas, and beauty is often camouflaged. Deconstructed shape and reconstructed colour is always the focus of her work.

Specialising in still life and landscape paintings, Ballard works at creating the atmospheric colour harmonies inspired by real life experiences.

She has exhibited both nationally and internationally and has completed art residencies at the world-renowned Art Students League of New York and also in Venice. In Australia, at Monsalvat and at the Mornington’s historic Police Point Residency.

She has an upcoming residency in France this July. Kristine’s artwork has also been licensed for fabric collections and art cards. She has a full schedule of art shows booked for 2023 featuring the Affordable Art Show and a solo show in October.

Kristine is also an experienced art facilitator, having run an Art School for twelve years and been the Arts presenter of EdTV Australia.

She creates and directs many art functions, workshops, art mentoring programs, and art retreats. She specialises in demystifying the art process and helping students develop their own unique style.
