Hiren will be painting a Sydney Harbour surroundings scene using oil paints for us. Come along to see Hiren’s beautiful painting techniques.

Cost is $5 at the door. Supper is provided and please remember to park outside due to early car park closure.

About Hiren Patel:

Hiren Patel was born in India but is now based in Sydney. He studied and worked as an Engineer until he stumbled upon the Art Gallery of NSW. This sparked his longtime interest in art again and started studying and practicing painting.

Hiren is highly influenced by Australian impressionists and modern painters, His recent urban vistas are intensely personal renditions of the places he wandered in Australia and India.

Using his sketches, photographs, and memory, he transforms everyday mundane subjects into visual poetries by richly layering colours and instinctive paint application. Good design, composition, and dramatic light are the most important aspects of his work.

Hiren is also an Associate of the Royal Art Society and has been a winner of many juried shows and awarded multiple first prizes such as Lloyd Rees, Joshua Smith, and best in categories in recent years in Sydney.
