The 31st ‘Art of Sydney’ Awards Online opens today!

The 31st ‘Art of Sydney’ Awards opens today online at www.artofsydneyexhibition.com
It will run until 28th February 2021.

There will be a display of original artists’ works in six categories in the website:

1. Traditional themes in oil or acrylic painted as oil
2. Traditional themes painted in water medium using watercolour techniques
3. Drawing and Mixed Media
4. Abstract
5. 9” by 5” in tribute to the 1889 Impression Exhibition
6. Miniature paintings, traditional themes painted in the spirit of miniaturization

All paintings are for sale.

We are delighted to have Meaghan Potter demonstrating Mixed Media – Watercolour, Ink and Conte charcoal on Tuesday, 9th February, 7:30pm at the Stan Stevens Studio at 300 George st Windsor. Come along or join us online to see Meaghan’s beautiful work being demonstrated.

With Covidsafe practises in place this demo will have a limit of 25 attending so please make sure you register your attendance here: info@mtas.com.au

We will also have it on Zoom and our social channels for those who can’t attend the venue. Hopefully, Instagram live and recording to be posted on our Youtube channel. For those who wish to view remotely please see below and follow us.

About Meaghan Potter:

Meaghan Potter is an Australian artist residing and working in the Blue Mountains. She has completed an Honours in Fine Arts from the National Art School, Sydney.

Meaghan has exhibited her work through solo and group exhibitions in galleries throughout Sydney and also internationally.

You can also see Meaghan’s work at the moment in her solo exhibition at the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens, it is on until 7th Feb 2021.

Tomorrow, 8th December 7.30pm

Don’t forget our Christmas Meeting will be on tomorrow, 8th December 7.30pm at the Stan Stevens Studio (Deerubbin Centre).

Please bring something for Show & Tell. It can be an art or craft work you have done through the year or something of interest to show to the group.

CovidSafe practises will be in place. We are limited in numbers so please register your attendance by email to info@mtas.com.au

Tea, coffee & a covid safe supper will be supplied, plus we have some fun surprises planned.

Along with our festive activities, lucky door prize, trivia, games and Show & Tell, we will have Satya Morrison giving a short talk about Digital Art. This will cover a range of software applications that can be used on desktop computers, laptops, phones, tablets and mobile devices.

Satya has 20+ years experience as a Graphic and Web Designer and we look forward to finding out more about these new techniques.

We hope you can join us for our fun filled end of year celebration and wish you all a safe and happy festive season.
